Occupational Therapy is provided by Registered Occupational
Therapists (OTR’S) and Certified Occupational Therapy
Assistants (COTA’S). Certified Occupational Therapy
Assistants work under the supervision of Registered
Occupational Therapists.
Our occupational therapists provide skilled treatment
to help individuals develop, regain or maintain the
skills necessary to participate in activities of
daily living (ADL).
The role of occupational
therapists includes:
- Customized treatment programs to improve a patient’s
ability to perform daily
activities (ADL)
- Comprehensive home evaluations with adaptation recommendations
- Perform skills assessment and treatment
- Adaptive equipment recommendations and usage training
Occupational Therapists assist patients in developing
and improving the following skills:
- Cognitive and perpetual skills
- Self care skills
- Social skills
- Fine motor skills and
- Gross motor skills
